Another new coming: ISPA

Annonced by new born SharePoint MagazineISPA: International SharePoint Professionals Association.

It's an association Community-like involving SharePoint topics.

I've to go deep in this Community since there's nothing yet from Italy :)

Italian SharePoint Conference 2008

On 2/3 October will be the italian SharePoint Conference 2008 in Milan.

Topics are really interesting, some of them technical, others with also some code.

There will be also a session with a preview of some of next SharePoint features.

More info here.

Sharepoint Conference 2008

You can say..."just another one?"

Really...conference are as women, they're never enough! :)

This one seems technically very rich and interesting (I think this is the news) and, from the sessions list, it's very full of contents.

Conference will be on for 3 days (2 are "contents days") and it's split in two different tracks, but it spreads out many aspects of Sharepoint's platform: Search, Workflow, Business Data Catalog, Share point Designer, architectural notions as well as developing notions...so you can find anything you want...

It's also cheaper than I think...and until february 8, you have an early bird offer.

Bad to be so far...or this can be an advantage to take a fly to other side of the ocean.

More info here.

OBA Architect Forum, great event.

Better than I expected.

OBA Architect Forum (in Milan, Italy) was very interesting and Kudzu had some cool moments for us. He's a nice character.

Some days ago, I was speaking with a colleague of mine, we were scared by the fact that this could be the usual, too teoric session with an uncouteable list of concepts not so close to real business. Instead I just found very useful ideas and sample code.

For the very first time I got the statement "People Ready, company don't take decisions. People do it."

During the session you can't miss the historic journey...why OBA, why VSTO, why Ribbon...

More...I have to say I had a great personal (or professional? don't know...) deal: I took the headphones to have translation, but I want to try if I was able to understand without them.

Result: I wonder what the weight on my legs was...the headphones.

I had understood everything without translation so I continued listening...:)

Another great thing, I met a friend of mine, in UGI.

...anyway, no women...:))

Now, I have to contact Kudzu for slides and sample code.

Very great event.

Workshop "Inside Sharepoint 2007"

Well, I was interested in this workshop since some months ago, when it was postponed to 25th january (and more...why AirOne don't give me a r/t ticket Milan/Bari, since the same day is my baptism).

I don't know if they changed something on the workshop to-do list or if I have increased my sharepoint knowledge, but I think it's even more interesting than before.

So, even if Bari is not so close to you, but if you want a good reason to get there (apart of the "Amaro dei Trulli"), this is the reason...

More info here (italian).

A good column on SharePoint

I found very interesting the column published on December 2007 issue of MSDN Magazine, about why you should learn SharePoint.

The column is issued by Robert Bogue and you can read it here.

Learn SharePoint 2007...a free lesson
Is from today this SharePoint free lesson, available at AppDev site.

I would appreciate an entire course for free but...we can't have what we want ;)
My blog on SharePoint...and why not?
Time to have SharePoint works for me, not the contrary (as more often happens :)

Now I have a blog based on SharePoint (or, more likely, wss 3.0).

I'd post english content on tips, tricks and articles on SharePoint and its neighboors :)
